Israeli exports maintained their high volume compared with the global trend. A dollar decrease of 1% in exports of goods and services in 2020; Excluding exports of tourism and transportation services that were affected globally, Israeli exports increased by about 4% this year. Export growth forecast for 2021: a dollar increase of 7%.
Exports of high-tech services continue to break records - mainly due to the continued accelerated growth in exports of software and R&D services.
The sharp rise in exports of software and R&D services offset the negative impact on exports of tourism and transportation services. Excluding exports of tourism and transportation services that were affected globally, Israeli exports increased by about 4% this year.
Total high-tech exports from Israel (goods and services) increased by 10%, and currently constitutes 52% of total Israeli exports.
Export growth forecast for 2021: a dollar increase of 7% to USD 117 billion (excluding exports to the Palestinian Authority).
